Cerenzia Foods is a rapidly growing Italian Food distributor. Founded in 1985, in the last six years it’s tripled in size. Cerenzia has found that they needed a way to effectively track inventory movement in MAS 200 and stop using manual procedures which were costing them time and money. Cerenzia faced these challenges:

Cerenzia has been utilizing Innovative Consulting Services Food Distribution system since 1996, when ICS helped customize Cerenzia’s MAS 200 software to integrate the food distribution solution. The manual procedures for product pricing, and tracking of inventory in multiple bins became a bottleneck and prevented them from being able to deliver their products to clients in a timely manner. President, Joe Annunziato, wanted the ability to maintain a customer’s pricing in their commodity-oriented business. Cerenzia also found the Fuel Surcharge Calculation feature especially helpful, as the price of gas was escalating; they were able to adjust this as their costs adjusted too.
Cerenzia saw an immediate impact from day one. As costs would fluctuate, pricing could be controlled without the wild fluctuations inherent in FIFO inventory. Cerenzia was able to utilize the Catch Weight Item feature which allowed items to be priced according to weight, even though they are sold in units. Joe Annunziato said, “(Insert appropriate quote from Cerenzia).” Chris Annunziato, and his office staff have been freed from the time intensive system management tasks so that they can keep focused on customer service which puts Cerenzia at the fore-front of their industry.
